Recognition Ceremony for Dr. Kozlow

Photo: Photographer, Dr. Robert Kozlow (Gilford-left), joins Lakes Region Community College (LRCC) President, Dr. Mark Edelstein (Laconia-right), following the Recognition Ceremony held recently at LRCC to thank Dr. Kozlow for his generous donation of 21 color prints of the White Mountains that have been mounted throughout the hallways of the College.

"These photographs are strikingly beautiful," Edelstein observed, "but they do much more than improve the aesthetics of the College. Art helps us see the natural world more clearly and acutely and thus more fully understand our reaction to it and our place in it."

Edelstein is holding Dr. Kozlow’s recently published book The White Mountains: a Photographic Journey, from which the 21 photographs were taken. "We hope," Edelstein said, "that this installation will also encourage other local artists to exhibit their works at the College."
