The gentlemen will be co-teaching the new Course from Monday, June 22, through Friday, June 26, 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon.

Lakes Region Community College (LRCC) will be offering a 15-hour intensive course in preparing college bound students to write at a college level. "There is often a huge gap between what is acceptable writing at the high school level and what is acceptable at the college level," says Professor Dave Pollak (Laconia), J.D., M.Ed. "This training will provide the student with the tools needed to meet the demands of college writing from day one."

"Expository writing requires clear, exact language, a structured format and a purposeful writing style in order to express one’s meaning and opinions," says Robert Masse (Belmont), B.A., M.Ed. , the co-instructor for LRCC’s Intensive College Writing Course with Pollak. "Research papers demand knowledge of the MLA or APA format in support of the writer’s documentation," Masse adds.

The new Course will be held at LRCC from June 22 through June 26, 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon. The cost is $200.00.

While LRCC’s Intensive College Writing Course is focused on students preparing for college, it is open to anyone wanting to improve his/her writing skills. Interested individuals should call the College at 524-5373 ext. 719 to register or to obtain additional information. Enrollment will be limited to 20 students.
