New Granite Sign @ LRCCPhoto: Gilbert Granite, Owner, Kevin Gilbert (Belmont-left), finalizes the placement of Lakes Region Community College’s (LRCC) new granite sign on Prescott Hill earlier this month. Assisting Gilbert is Mark Padula (Belmont- center), of Padula Excavation, and Crane Operator, Russell Twardosky (Belmont- right). The new sign, measuring 8 feet wide by 5 feet tall and weighing 5000 pounds, faces Route 106 directly and welcomes new students and guests to the College.

"Gilbert Granite personnel did an outstanding job in every way," says LRCC President, Dr. Mark Edelstein (Laconia- not pictured). "This granite sign is meant to communicate to the public that our new name, Lakes Region Community College, is set in stone and will change no more."

LRCC’s new granite sign is due in part to a generous gift from the 2008 graduating class.
