LAKES REGION MANAGEMENT CLUB SCHOLARSHIP (PDF)
- To be eligible, the student must:
- Be a permanent New Hampshire resident
- Be enrolled for at least 12 credits during the fall and spring semesters.
NOTE: Co-op students out on co-op are also eligible - Submit a Financial Aid Form (FAFSA), if you have not already filed a 2008-09 FAFSA form. These forms are available in the FA Office. You need to complete it for this scholarship opportunity, to determine unmet financial need.
- Complete a LRMC Scholarship Application Form including the required essay (see below)
- Be involved in community and College activities
The application and essay are due in the Financial Aid Office by noon, January 30, 2009.
The Essay
These scholarships are competitive - not everyone who applies will receive one. That is why the essay is important - it is your main link to the committee that will be reviewing the applications. What makes you stand out? You need to convince the readers that you deserve this scholarship. What is your grade point average? Do you work? What are your goals? How have you planned for this part of your life? What has happened in your life that has impacted where you are today?
The essay should be carefully written - several rough drafts produce a better final work than one written by hand at midnight before the due date. It should be proofread; the spelling should be perfect. This is your chance to put your best self forward to the committee that will be deciding who receives scholarships and what the amounts will be.
